Modern condominiums in Kuala Lumpur share a common challenge: open-plan layouts with limited ceiling height. The wrong lighting can make a condo feel flat, cold, or smaller than it is.
Start with a layered approach. Ambient lighting — typically recessed downlights — provides the base layer. Choose warm white (2700K to 3000K) for living areas and bedrooms.
Track lights are ideal for open-plan condos because they can be aimed at different zones without installing separate circuits. Pendant lights over the dining table or kitchen island add a focal point.
Finally, don't overlook indirect lighting. LED strips tucked into ceiling coves, under cabinets, or behind the TV console add a soft glow that makes a room feel larger.
