Designed Around Warmth and Function
This Ampang condominium was renovated with one goal: to create a home that feels warm, calm, and effortlessly functional. Rather than treating each trade separately, lighting, electrical, ceiling, and carpentry were planned and sequenced together. The result is a space where every switch, socket, light, and cabinet feels intentionally placed.
D'suria @ Ampang is a thoughtfully renovated condominium designed around warmth, texture, and functional living. The project brings together four coordinated trades — lighting planning, plaster ceiling, electrical works, and custom carpentry — into a single cohesive renovation flow. The design direction balances a clean modern aesthetic with warm residential comfort. Soft neutral wall tones, warm wood cabinetry, and layered ambient lighting create a home that feels calm during the day and intimate in the evening. Every lighting circuit, socket position, and cabinetry dimension was planned together so that no detail feels like an afterthought. Custom built-in carpentry runs throughout the home — from the kitchen and living area storage to the bedroom wardrobe systems. Concealed LED strip lighting is integrated into cabinetry alcoves and ceiling coves, washing surfaces with a soft indirect glow. The material palette favours matte finishes, warm timber textures, and understated neutral tones that let the lighting do the work of defining the space.
The design prioritised warmth and calm over decoration. Indirect lighting, warm timber tones, and concealed systems create a space that feels premium without feeling styled.

The main living space combines soft recessed downlights with indirect cove lighting. Custom cabinetry in warm neutral tones anchors the TV wall while maintaining a clean, uncluttered appearance.
The bedroom wardrobe was built floor-to-ceiling after walls were levelled. Integrated LED strips activate on motion, and the warm timber finish carries through from the living areas for material consistency.

Clean plaster ceiling with shadow gaps
Continuous shadow gaps separate the wall and ceiling planes, creating a floating ceiling effect. The gaps also conceal the LED cove strips that wash the ceiling with indirect light.

All wiring runs through concealed conduits with switch and socket positions aligned to cabinetry and furniture layouts. No visible trunking, no socket hidden behind a cabinet.

Custom warm-tone cabinetry
Full-height built-in cabinetry in warm neutral tones with soft-close hinges, finger-pull grooves, and integrated LED strip lighting. Every door and drawer was measured after walls were levelled.

Site Survey & Brief
Measured the entire condominium, documented existing conditions, and mapped every lighting, electrical, and cabinetry position with the owners.
Plaster Ceiling & Wall Preparation
Levelled ceilings, repaired wall surfaces, and prepared all substrates. Shadow gaps formed before plaster curing to ensure clean architectural lines.
Electrical Rough-In & Concealed Conduits
Ran all concealed conduits, positioned sockets and switches against confirmed furniture drawings, and upgraded the consumer unit for modern appliance loads.
Custom Carpentry Installation
Fabricated and installed kitchen cabinetry, living area storage, and bedroom wardrobe systems. All pieces measured after walls were confirmed true.
Lighting Installation & Final Tuning
Fitted recessed downlights, cove LED strips, and under-cabinet lighting. Walked through each zone at dusk to tune dimming levels and final ambience.
